Come Try Jigsaw Puzzles 2.0
Jigsaw Puzzles 2.0 is now available to everyone. Start a new puzzle in 2.0, or keep playing the original.
Hey everyone. Jigsaw Puzzles 2.0 is now available to everyone! People have been trying it out, sending me feedback, and helping me smooth things out. I'd love for you to give it a go too.
Updated October 14: you no longer need an invitation link. The 2.0 buttons are now there for everyone.
We're still improving things as we go, and the original game is staying available alongside 2.0. Here's how to get started:
- Choose an image from the catalog and click Start in 2.0. We recommend it for new puzzles. Start in Original is right beside it if you'd prefer.
- Use My 2.0 Puzzles in the menu to return to puzzles you've played in the new game.
Sign in! It uses your regular account and saves your progress. You don't need a subscription to play. Your existing puzzles still open in the version they were created in, so you can finish those at your own pace.
Having two My Puzzles pages is temporary. The plan is to bring your old and new puzzles together after a little more testing. For now, look in My 2.0 Puzzles for the new ones.
The goal right now is pretty simple: the same game, but better. A lot of you have been playing for years, and I want you to keep the things you like about it. I have plenty of new modes and experiments planned, but first I want to get the familiar puzzling right.
So I'm especially interested in anything that feels worse than the original. Bugs, awkward controls, something that's harder to see, or a little thing you used to do easily and now can't. Even if it seems minor, please tell me. Those little things matter when you spend a lot of time playing.
You can find me on Discord, or click the little 🐞 button in the game. Write what happened, hit Send, and I'll read it. The button also sends along some technical details to help me figure things out, so you don't have to know how any of that works.
Tell me what you were doing just before the problem. If you're posting on Discord, a screenshot can help too. And if something feels better, I'm happy to hear that as well!
My intention is to keep this version running and patch it as we go. Thanks to everyone who has helped test it so far!
Bring a friend if you'd like some company. Share your puzzle link just like before.
Eventually I'll stop putting 2.0 on everything and it'll just be the game. For now, come try a puzzle and let me know how it feels.
