Come Try Jigsaw Puzzles 2.0

The new game is ready for more players. Here's how to try it alongside the original.

Hey everyone. Jigsaw Puzzles 2.0 is ready for some more players! A small group has been trying it out on Discord, things are going pretty well, and I'd like to invite the rest of you to give it a go.

Try Jigsaw Puzzles 2.0

This is early access. The plan is to make the new game available in the menus for everyone soon. For now, clicking that link turns on a few extra buttons in your browser:

  • A JigsawPuzzles.io 2.0 option when you choose an image from the catalog and start a puzzle.
  • My 2.0 Puzzles, where you can return to puzzles you've played in the new game.

Sign in! It uses your regular account and saves your progress. You don't need a subscription to join the playtest. The original game is still available too, so you can keep playing your existing puzzles.

Having two My Puzzles pages is temporary. The plan is to bring your old and new puzzles together after a little more testing. For now, look in My 2.0 Puzzles for the new ones.

The goal right now is pretty simple: the same game, but better. A lot of you have been playing for years, and I want you to keep the things you like about it. I have plenty of new modes and experiments planned, but first I want to get the familiar puzzling right.

So I'm especially interested in anything that feels worse than the original. Bugs, awkward controls, something that's harder to see, or a little thing you used to do easily and now can't. Even if it seems minor, please tell me. Those little things matter when you spend a lot of time playing.

You can find me on Discord, or click the little ๐Ÿž button in the game. Write what happened, hit Send, and I'll read it. The button also sends along some technical details to help me figure things out, so you don't have to know how any of that works.

Tell me what you were doing just before the problem. If you're posting on Discord, a screenshot can help too. And if something feels better, I'm happy to hear that as well!

Unless we find something seriously wrong, my intention is to keep this version running and patch it as we go. It's the invitation-link arrangement that's temporary; the plan is for the game to stay.

Bring a friend if you'd like some company. The link isn't a secret, and you're welcome to share it.

Eventually I'll stop putting 2.0 on everything and it'll just be the game. For now, come try a puzzle and let me know how it feels.
